Tajudeen Atanda Olaoye obtained his first degree from the University of Lagos and Master of Science degree (Industrial & Production Engineering) from the University of Ibadan. He also has a post graduate diploma in Education from Uthman Danfodio University, Sokoto. He has industrial experience from some reputable companies before joining the services of the University of Ibadan. He is currently an Assistant Chief Industrial Coordinator. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers and Associate Member of Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD). He is also a member of Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

T. A. Olaoye has the responsibility of coordinating the training activities of the following departments:

1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Petroleum Engineering
3. Biochemistry
4. Chemistry
5. Human Nutrition
6. LARIS
7. Mathematics
8. Department of Forest Production and Products
9. Department of Social and Environmental Forestry

Aside from the above-mentioned specific duties, T. A. Olaoye takes active part in the following functions of the Centre:

1. Handling of all SWEP activities
2. Coordination of all activities involved in maintaining cordial relationship with employers
3. Ensuring of availability of training documents as at when needed
4. Sourcing of suitable industrial training jobs for students participating in SIWES
5. Supervision of students on industrial training programme
6. Assessment of components of SIWES
7. Pre-placement orientation programme for potential SIWES participants
8. Issuance of necessary documents to students embarking on SIWES
9. Other duties as may be directed by the Director
